SoCal Counties Provide

Deed and Housing Fraud Protections

If you are paying $99 a year for  Lifelock™ Home Title Protect, there may be a better (and free) option.

As the Field’s research shows, all the counties in SoCal perform Deed Recording and Fraud Notification Services that protect homeowners against fraudulently recorded deeds.

One other advantage these county services have over LifeLock is the district attorneys in all  counties are immediately notified by county officials when fraud is detected; (there’s no go-between).

In addition, all County Recorder Offices have a public liaison person with direct access to detectives and fraud strike teams; who prioritize “deed fraud” enforcement and protect homeowners
